Won’t someone PLEASE think of the birds!?!

April 1, 2008

Oh.
It looks like someone is thinking of the birds.

Out in New Brunswick there’s legislation that’s protecting birds from “indiscriminate slaughter” at the hands of forestry companies – up to $1 million and 3 years in the pokey.

That’s a spicy meat-a-ball, as someone from Woodbridge might say.

Anyways, the full story is here, but it caught my attention because of this opening line:
The great blue heron is a majestic, quiet bird that rarely attracts much attention.

Oh the herON.

May your quiet majesty never be confused with  the much less majestic pickled herRING.

Happy Leap Year…and Bird Flavoured Coffee

February 29, 2008

To all the birds of the bag: Happy Leap Year!

I was given the gift of coffee for my approaching B-day and had to share the pic/bird flavour. I’ll follow-up with an assessment of Blue Heron falvoured coffee.

Have a great day!
